Lazy Susan (Dark Comedy)   (Currently no trailer available)            11 mins.

Director: Stephen Abbott

Writers: Stephen Abbott and Eduan van Jaarsveldt

Synopsis: Susan is a friendly waitress who works double shifts every day at a Cape Town restaurant. She deftly serves gluttons and wasps, hipsters and high-tippers, racists and lechers. With some effort she maintains both wit and quality service in the face of obnoxious customers--until a lousy tip gets the better of her. Told from the perspective of a single lazy susan (rotating tray), this short film features equal amounts of satire and social commentary.

August Wilson: The Ground on Which I Stand (Documentary)

Director: Samuel D. Pollard

Writer: Stephen Stept

Synopsis: Explore the life and legacy of August Wilson, the Tony and Pulitzer-winning playwright who some call America’s Shakespeare. In the series of a ten play cycle he chronicled each decade of the 20th-century African-American experience, including the award winning plays Fences and The Piano Lesson. This documentary features James Earl Jones, Phylicia Rashad, Laurence Fishburne, Viola Davis, new dramatic readings and rare footage.  It is part of the ward-winning PBS American Masters series.
