Please join us our for our Spoken Word events where we showcase very talented artist from around the country delivering performance-based poetry that focuses on the aesthetics of word play and story-telling, that originated from the poetry of African Americans in Harlem. Performers will weave in poetic components - such as rhyme, repetition, slang, improvisation, and many more elements of poetry - to create an atmosphere for you to experience.
