Synopsis: Morton, Texas, was home to a dreamer, LaQuita Thompson, who promised herself, if she made it out, that she would return to help others. Her passion for basketball became her escape and the foundation of her mission. This film explores her youth, her inspirations for her work, gender politics surrounding girls' and women’s' participation in sports, and the programs she has developed to counter those barriers. Official selection Black Women’s International Film Festival.
